MOTION: Councillor M. Johansson

"That this committee, following the horrific incident in July, request the council to improve street lighting and the removal of hedges in the green space at the junction between Ninth Lock Rd and Neilstown Rd."

REPORT

The lighting on Ninth Lock Road and Neilstown Road has been surveyed and is fit for purpose.

The hedges in Letts Field at the junction between Ninth Lock Rd and Neilstown Road are growing on private property and while it is not possible to remove them, they have been listed for pruning as part of the hedge cutting programme 2016/2017. There are a number of small self-seeded elderberry and sycamore in the vicinity and these have been listed for removal.
