Proposed new school warden crossings

REPLY:

Following requests for new school warden crossings pedestrian and traffic counts were carried out at a number of locations by the road safety section.

As a result of these a new crossing is proposed at

• Peamount RD. 80m from Newcastle Main St

If the Council approves the above location a request will be made to the Commissioner of An Garda Síochána to sanction a school warden crossing at this location. There is no timeframe for receiving authorisation so a commencement date for this crossing can not be given.
