That this Area Committee support the Newcastle community residents call for action on the 68 bus route that is consistently late, regular no show and not updated on app. There is one rather poor bus service to serve this large and growing area. We demand that Dublin Bus and the NTA address the issues of concern of residents as a matter of urgency to ensure people are not late for work/appointments and do not have to drive cars and we commit to writing to Dublin Bus and the NTA. We also ask they issue a timeline for additional bus services for the Newcastle area.
