That this Area Committee agrees, that the bus service covering the Newcastle area is totally in adequate and calls upon Dublin Bus to increase the level of service scheduling until the bus connects new schedule is brought into service.

That this Area Committee asks the Council to write to the Department of Defence to investigate how to widen Aylmer Road (near Peamount FC junction) in order to remove bad bends and improve road safety as well as providing traffic-congestion relief in Newcastle village by allowing more people to use this route to gain access to Greenogue.
That this Area Committee support the Newcastle community residents call for action on the 68 bus route that is consistently late, regular no show and not updated on app. There is one rather poor bus service to serve this large and growing area. We demand that Dublin Bus and the NTA address the issues of concern of residents as a matter of urgency to ensure people are not late for work/appointments and do not have to drive cars and we commit to writing to Dublin Bus and the NTA. We also ask they issue a timeline for additional bus services for the Newcastle area.

That this Area Committee demand the Department of Education look at the school placements issues in this LEA and come up with a proper plan on how the current and future needs will be met.
That this Area Committee agrees that the old water pump currently located outside the Pipe Band Hall on the Old Nangor Road in Clondalkin be moved to a location outside the Round Tower Heritage Centre as agreed under the 300K Have Your Say scheme for Clondalkin.

To ask the Chief Executive to remove the tree stumps in place at Hillview, Rathcoole? The stumps impedes access to cars.
To ask the Chief Executive will the tree maintenance team prune the overgrown tree outside Zip and Sew Rathcoole Village? The local residents feel the tree is quite dangerous.
To ask the Chief Executive when work on the Teen Space and the Dog Park in Rathcoole Park is expected to commence and how long are both projects expected to take once works begin?
To ask the Chief Executive for a detailed explanation for the removal of the large mature Monterey Cypress Tree in Corkagh park. To explain if the tree was diseased and to what extent this had taken hold in the tree, and also, to indicate whether the council will flag the removal of individual mature trees to this committee for consideration in the future?

That this Area Committee ask if council can make the lock key from the "flag pole" at the 1916 commemorative garden available to facilitate the flying of the tri-color throughout Easter week.
That this Area Committee support Clondalkin Tidy Towns in their work to ensure that St Josephs Graveyard is maintained and preserved for future generations and that SDCC act on an independent report from a local Architect P.M. Ging: Dip Arch FRIAI who has recommended that all the walls are brought to the same height using the stones saved from Boot Road and stored in Corkagh Park. This will help keep the upcoming repair of headstones by SDCC safe and help in combatting anti-social behaviour.
That this Area Committee calls on the Council to meet with Clondalkin Tidy Towns and Elected Councillors to discuss the started World War 1 memorial garden in Clondalkin park. We ask that report has a date and time for such a meeting also that the report explains what has been done in front of trees at the memorial.
That this Area Committee outline a list of protected trees in the Clondalkin area.

That this Area Committee agrees that specimen trees in public parks should be preserved with Tree Preservation Orders and outlines a plan for a mapping of specimen trees in Corkagh Park.

That this Area Committee agrees to ask the Council to upgrade the grounds of Knockmitten basketball court. The council has done a fine job on the Calisthenics bars in the park but the basketball court is an eyesore. The request to line out the three-point line and install some polyester netting instead of the chain net.
