That this Area Committee ask if council can make the lock key from the "flag pole" at the 1916 commemorative garden available to facilitate the flying of the tri-color throughout Easter week.

REPORT:

The council is not in possession of a key for this particular flag pole at the 1916 commemorative garden. A previous Tidy Towns representative informed the Council that there is only one key to the flagpole in existence, which Tidy Towns received when the pole was erected in 2016. There was an event held in 2017 "Honouring the Flag" and that was the only official time that the flag was hoisted on the pole since its installation in 2016.
