QUESTION: Councillor Eoin Ó Broin

To ask the Chief Executive for a timeline for the repair work that has been agreed to being carried out on the New Nangor Road in 2023 with a budget of almost half a million euro? Members Rep 1777273 refers

REPLY:

 Road Maintenance are programmed to commence resurfacing on the R134 New Nangor Road from Woodford Walk to Park West Avenue at the end of March. Once this contract is complete, a second contract will commence from Park West Avenue to the Naas Road.

These 2 contracts are the only surfacing works currently programmed for 2023 due to proposed gasmain works along the Western side of the New Nangor Road. Once we have received confirmation of the alignment of the new gas route a decision will be taken on whether to proceed with the final phase of resurfacing in 2023 or defer to 2024.
