To ask the Manager to indicate the likely timeframe for the clearance of illegal bonfire debris in the Rapid areas of Tallaght and to give a breakdown of clearances yet to be carried out?

"To ask the Manager to have arranged the closure of the vehicular access at the rear of Morton's pub Firhouse as this currently allow bikers to access this site and is causing severe annoyance to nearby residents and will the Manager note that this closure was requested in a written question dated the 31st of March, 2005?"

" To ask the Manager to have arranged contact with the landowners of the site as outlined in question 11 at the October 1 Area Committee Meeting, 2006 with a view to having these briers cut back as they are causing a major inconvenience to the numerous pedestrians using the adjacent footpath?."

" To ask the Manager to outline in detail the frequency in which Park Rangers visit and enter Dodder Valley Park (Oldbawn) and if such frequency could be increased as a matter of urgency?."

“To ask the Manager if he would establish a pedestrian pathway between Tamarisk View and the pedestrian entrance from Kilnamanagh onto the Embankment Road, as a means of helping pedestrians who use the Luas public transport system from the Kilnamanagh area, as over the winter months this track becomes very muddy and dirty, and the introduction of a pathway in this area would greatly help pedestrian traffic and public transport users, and if he will make a statement on the matter?”

“To ask the Manager if he is in agreement in connection with the need to provide an additional bin at the new bus stop on Ballycullen Avenue opposite the Speaker Connolly pub in Firhouse, given the fact that Dublin Bus recently provided a new bus shelter at this location, and to state specifically when he will be in a position to provide such a bin, and if he will make a statement on the matter?”

 “To ask the Manager to state if he would consider providing a plastic/ glass recycling facility at Firhouse Community Centre, as it is the only recycling centre in the general Firhouse/ Ballycullen area, and given the fact that South Dublin County Council had to remove the existing recycling facility at Firhouse Shopping Centre in the past two years or so, if additional plans are being put in place to provide additional recycling facilities, and if he will make a statement on the matter.”

"That this committee declares the Fortunestown Shopping Centre at Molly Heffernan's pub the worst litter blackspot in the Tallaght area and calls on the Manager to highlight this in a formal way with leaseholders and commercial property owners in the complex, requesting an effective litter management plan which is enforceable to be agreed by the owners".

"To ask the Manager to indicate the current average length of time to turn around a Council owned house after a vacancy has occurred, to indicate if there have been any specific reasons why there are 52 vacant houses showing on the Vacant house list in the Tallaght area alone for a significant length of time and to state whether this is acceptable given the fact that many of the vacant houses are like open sores in some estates and are causing untold hardship to residents in neighbouring houses?"

" To ask the Manager for a detailed update on the consensus reached at the most recent meeting between Castletymon Estate Management Group and Council Officials pertaining to the proposed in-fill housing at Castletymon  and a time-frame agreed for the implementation of such a consensus?."
