QUESTION 20
QUESTION: Cllr. Joe Neville
" To ask the Manager for a detailed update on the delays that prospective tenants ( under the Cluid Housing Association) are enduring in obtaining possession of their Apartments
at Belgard Square and can this issue be listed as a headed item at the next relevant area committee meeting.
REPLY
The 38 housing units at Belgard Square to be managed by Cluid Housing Association are being provided under a Part V arrangement as part of the developer's planning permission. The housing units will be provided on a turn key basis to Cluid Housing Association.
When all arrangements for the transfer of the units have been completed with the developer and the required finanical and legal requirements completed, Cluid Housing Association will assume ownership of the properties and will then be in a position to allocate the dwellings on the basis agreed with South Dublin County Council. Given that it is essential that all appropriate procedures be followed by the Council before transfer of the units to Cluid Housing it is not clear what the delays referred to in the question relate to. It is expected that the units in question will be available to Cluid for allocation shortly.
