"That this Committee calls on the Minister for Justice, in consulation with senior Garda management to urgently outline a credible timeframe for implementing previous commitments regarding the enhancement of the community policing service and in particular community Garda, including in the Lucan/Palmerstown/Clondalkin area, especially in the light of public fears regarding dangerous criminals living in our midst and the risk to members of the public innocently getting caught up in drug-related feuds; given that an increase in the number of community police will help to improve the responsible sharing of information with residents and community groups so as to better identify existing and potential threats and help our communities have a better sense of security; and that the Minister and/or her officials be requested to give a detailed and timely response."

"That this Council provides an update on plans to improve GAA playing pitch surfaces for our local GAA clubs in Lucan and Palmerstown given that repeated requests for improvements to playing surfaces and other remedial works in relation to Lucan Sarsfields for example have been half-hearted at best and responses to local representatives regarding same have been haphazard and repeatedly delayed; and that furthermore the Council commits to a sit down meeting with deputations from any sports club that requests them in relation to the maintenance of surfaces at the appropriate times of the year as this would ensure a cost-efficient and timely service that would result in less complaints."
