QUESTION: Councillor L. O'Toole

"To ask the Chief Executive if a site can be identified for the Lucan area in relation to the set-up of a “Mens Shed” and if funding can be made available?"

REPLY:

The Community Development Team is available to meet with any group interested in setting a community group such as a 'Men's Shed' in the Lucan area.  There are a number of 'Men's Shed' groups operating in the county and have many different interests and focus and require different types of premises.  Until a group is identified, it  would be premature to identify sites or accommodation.  If there is a group of interested men, they should be advised to contact the Community Officers.
