MOTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

"That this Area Committee calls on the Chief Executive to examine the feasibility of using Council-owned lands at Cooldrinagh, opposite the Springfield Hotel, for the provision of allotments."

REPORT:

The suggestion of utilising the land at Cooldrinagh for allotments will be considered in the forthcoming Allotments Strategy which will examine, inter alia:

• the current waiting list
• existing sites
• the enhancement of existing allotment facilities
• the case for additional allotment facilities provision
