"That the Chief Executive ensure that any further works to be carried out at Willsbrook and surrounding areas that prioritise consideration is given to residents affected by the road works including the provision of points men at peak times as recent reports have confirmed that residents have spent up to 20 minutes getting out of their estates."

REPORT:

Delays exiting in Willsbrook were common before the commencement of these works.  The main road, ie Willsbrook Road is the priority road for traffic flow.  To-date most of the disruptive work has been carried out by the contractor on site between the hours of 10am-4pm to ensure that peak time traffic was not affected.  Some resurfacing works have already been carried out during the night to prevent any traffic congestion in the area.  We will continue to monitor traffic flow into subsequent phases and apologise for any inconvenience caused to local residents.
