Roads
Questions
"To ask the Manager could he contact An Post to ask them what new post-boxes are to be installed in the new Rathfarnham Ward which has had a large increase in population and to thank An Post for the new post-box at Coolamber Park?"
"To ask the Manager could the footpath in the laneway at the side of 71 Idrone Park leading from Cremorne and Coolamber Park be raised and a rainwater drain be installed. This footpath area at the swinging gate is low and when there is heavy rain it is flooded making it impossible to walk through?"
"To ask the Manager could a system of designated parking outside their homes for residents of Woodview Cottages Rathfarnham or a permit system be put in place. There are only thirty or so houses at Woodview Cottages a parking solution is needed for residents with cars?"
"To ask the Manager to have the Pathway in front of the Post box set into the front wall of the house "Green Royd" on Butterfield Avenue, close to junction with Fairways relplaced with some form of hard standing as requested by Res. Assoc. This is in a very muddy state due mainly to Postal collection vans driving up on to the verge. It is a very busy section of the road with double yellow lines starting at the Green Royd gateway and running towards the Marian Road traffic junction, making it difficult to pull in without driving up onto the verge. As the vans must stop to collect post, it would help if a section of the grass verge was replaced with some form of hard standing?"
"To ask the Manager for an update re disabled access at Rathfarnham Shopping Centre – Manager of Shopping Centre said by letter to council in April 2008 that he would be back in three months with further update, please contact again if this update is not to hand in order to have same prior to TRAC meeting?"
"To ask the Manager for a progress report on the footpath repair programme for Limekiln Green, Limekiln Avenue and Limekiln Road.
"To ask the Manager to indicate if the realignment of Greenhills Road will be postponed due to the curtailment of Government finance as resently announced , also the Limekiln Road Extension?"

Many children play in this area and residents exiting their driveways are taking their life in their hands as motorbikes scream by. This is a major safety issue.

"That the Manager meet the Rathfarnham Wood Residents Association to seek agreement on an arrangement regarding timing of open public access to and through Rathfarnham Castle Park."
"That this committee agrees to have 4 trees (requested for the past 10 years and intermittently since that date) at houses along Firhouse Road address (address supplied) -- Woodbrook Park and neighbouring houses. This is a main road with lots of traffic. I would appreciate if they could be planted shortly as the request has been made for such a long time? Noting that Rathfarnham area has 10 extra trees still to be allocated this year as 10 inadvertently included on the Rathfarnham list which should have been listed on the Tallaght area list."
"That the Manager make a report to this Committee on the progress of installing a light in Greenhills Park at the rear of Greenhills College in Greenhills Park as agreed by the Committee and progress of changing the boundry fence at the rear of Greenhills College into Greenhills Park in order to improve the security of the College."
