QUESTION: Councillor P. Cosgrave

"To ask the Manager could a system of designated parking outside their homes for residents of Woodview Cottages Rathfarnham or a permit system be put in place.There are only thirty or so houses at Woodview Cottages a parking solution is needed for residents with cars?"

REPLY:

It is not possible to restrict parking to residents on any given street or road. The county wide Control of Parking Bye Laws includes a system where by residents can be prioritised utilising parking charges and residents permits. Where it has been implemented it has been beneficial to residents who previously had endured all day parking by non residents etc.

Woodview Cottages will be included in the forthcoming Control of Parking Bye Laws.
