QUESTION: Councillor E. Walsh

"To ask the Manager for a report on the installation of the Bowling Green in Greenhills and to indicate when material resulting from the development will be disposed of and when the Bowling Green will be useable and will he make a statement on the issue?"

REPLY:

Contract construction works on the all weather bowling green have now reached completion and it is proposed that the bowling green will be operated on behalf of South Dublin Co. Council under management agreement with Greenhills Bowls Club from May 2009.

The adjacent mound of soil arising from the construction works will be removed as part of overall site re-instatement works which are be carried out during 2009.
