To ask the Manager why it is that those responsible for the bin collection in South Dublin County Council’s administrative area take no responsibility for collecting and/ or prosecuting those residents who clearly have purchased bin tags on the black market, and automatically refuse to collect bins where tampered bin tags have been placed on the bin, and if he will state the total number of instances reported to this Council where bin tags have been stolen, and if he will make a statement on the matter?

To ask the Manager in light of the decision by Dublin City Council to vary their County Development Plan so as to radically increase the permissible size of apartments within the city area, and also to improve the quality and standard of such apartments, if the Manager now believes that a similar amendment to the Development Plan of South Dublin County Council is now required, so as to improve the general quality and standard of apartments in South Dublin County Council’s administrative area, and if he will make a statement on the matter?

That South Dublin County Council review its policy on the charging of development levies to County Dublin Vocational Education Committee for the building of dedicated extensions to existing VEC school buildings where the extension is to be used completely to provide education and training programmes for disdvantaged groups of participants, as the imposition of the development levy may make some VEC initiatives for disadvantaged groups impossible to realise.
