Questions
To ask the Manager if bin tags are available that are suitable for use by partially sighted or blind persons?
To ask the Manager to supply the following information in connection with new accommodation procured by the Council in private and/or mixed tenure residential developments:
1. Average expenditure (if any) per unit in addition to cost of procurement, in order to bring them up to standard
2. Average length of time from handover to occupation.
To ask the Manager to report in detail, and on an area by area basis, as to what regular examinations are taking place, or planned examinations will take place, with a view to upgrading as necessary the underground water mains piping infrastructure in South Dublin in an effort to help minimise major water mains bursts which may arise owing to ageing or deteriorating water mains piping infrastructure. Such water mains bursts are the cause of huge inconvenience to the Local Residential Community in South Dublin.
To ask the Manager to report in detail on the Council's current Grass Cutting Programme, including reasons for any delays that have resulted in the unsightly situation of long grass and weeds on our main roads, including the N4?
To ask the Manager to report on an item by item basis, amid public and media speculation that there are new delays anticipated on the starting and/or completion dates of all Major Transportation and Road Infrastructure Projects applicable to South County Dublin. Now more that ever before the people of South Dublin are in need of the necessary investment in Transportation and Road Infrastructure to help improve the quality of life of our citizens owing to increased traffic congestion and restricted commuter options?
To ask the Manager when the marked-up Register of the 2007 General Election will be available ?
To ask the Manager what is the revised timescale for completing the (a) work at the M50/N4 interchange, (b) work on the the M50/N7 interchange and (c) completion of the current phase of the M50 upgrade? And to make a statement on progress to date including reasons for delaying the completion date?
To ask the Manager (as a follow up to my questions of April and June re noise pollution along M50 Upgrade) for a report on any complaints received from residents in relation to noise levels, dust levels and working during prohibited hours and to include in his answer what action was taken and the outcome of court proceedings in relation to any isolated breaches?
I would like to compliment the Management on the current work on upgrading the Tallaght Library and while I note the ongoing review of the County Library Services, I would be grateful if the Manager would indicate progress in providing a Library for Palmerstown in Palmerstown as set out in the 2004 - 2010 County Development Plan?
To ask the Manger for a report on efforts and progress to date in providing a segregated junction at Kennelsfort Road/N4 given that this is a primary route and gateway to the County which will suffer severe congestion with resulting pollution when the M50/N4 freeflow intersection comes into operation and the traffic lights at Kennelsfort Road and the Oval will negate the intended effect of the upgrading of both the M50m and the N4?
