This Committee notes the number of senior citizens who live in the Greenhills area and are regular users of Greenhills Park. The lack of seating has a significant impact on senior citizens and their ability to fully utilise the park. To address this, the Committee requests that South Dublin County Council commit to the installation of age friendly seating areas in the park.

That the Manager investigates and resolves the water flooding at the pedestrian school crossing at Ballyroan Crescent D.16. The surface of the crossing is damaged with cracks and potholes because of water rising from the under cracks. When there is heavy rain the water comes down from the road that serves the local junior and senior schools. The water flows underground surfacing from the cracks in the crossing. Roads management need to dig up the crossing and pipe the rainwater into new flood drains on Ballyroan Crescent.

That this Council ensures that the Whitechurch Stream Flood Alleviation Scheme prioritises and expedites the flood defence works at or near Grange Park, Rathfarnham, to ensure that the area does not flood again.
