To ask the manager to contact the owners of the bottle bank in Tymon Park with a view to asking them to rearrange their collection times. Residents are understandably distressed that the 6am collections are very noisy and causing a disturbance
REPLY:
The Public Realm team have been in contact with our glass collection service provider Glassco regarding collections at locations around Tymon Park. We have reviewed April’s collection records and there were two collections identified as taking place outside of normal collection hours (prior to 8am). We have reminded Glassco of their obligations under the service contract in relation to collection start and finish times. Glasco have confirmed they have reminded the staff members concerned of the normal collection hours and put in appropriate corrections to the collection roster. SDCC will continue to monitoring of the collection service to ensure no further breaches occur.
