"Following the debate on the canal path Greenway at last month's area committee could the chief executive present a report on whether there has been any progress on the following issues;
1. Littering in the vicinity of the bins and the frequency of their being emptied.
2. The issue of graffiti removal from seats and poles.
3. The issue of whether seats and bins should be removed from the Greenway because of the fact that they appear to cause littering, dumping and antisocial behaviour."

"That this committee write to Retired Active Men's Social (RAMS group) in Newcastle and congratulate them for reaching a 5 year anniversary (in September) and acknowledge the vital contribution they play in the community in Newcastle. "This committee commends the Corkagh Park fairies and their protectors in the Irish Fairy Door Company for their ambassadorial work for the Clondalkin area. These brave fairies have had no difficulty in settling in numerous new homes, both North and South of the Naas Road. They have done Clondalkin proud in parks, schools and homes all over this county and much further afield. This committee also commends the Parks department of SDCC for looking after the fairies so well in the Fairy Wood in Corkagh Park and now in other parks in the county. This committee also commends the Chief Executive and those managers in SDCC for their foresight in assisting the Irish Fairy Door Company by forging a mutually beneficial partnership with them. Finally, this committee wishes the fairies and the Irish Fairy Door Company continued success with this excellent venture."

"That SDCC Urgently seek emergency funding and this be made available to help families in Oldcastle Park to improve and upgrade the Accommodation for the Traveller's living there.’’
"Given the scale of the Homeless issue in the Clondalkin area and following motion 41187 (Detailed below) passed in November 2014 we ask that the Chief Executive present a list of sites suitable for a Homeless hostel and that all options be presented to this area committee as a matter of urgency so a plan of action can be drawn up and the relevant Department can be lobbied for funding. Also that a full update be given on funding for social housing."

Given the growing Homelessness issue in the Clondalkin area , the area committee calls for immediate action , we call for an emergency hostel to be built in Clondalkin. We also call on the Government to release funds in order to build social housing. We ask that the Alan Kelly T.D Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government be written to an that the crisis nature of the situation be expressed. |

"This Committee agrees that the Council should explore the possibility of the placing of a blue plaque on the structure of the Old House, Rathcoole and a heritage information sign on the street detailing the history of the House, its original owners and their links to the 1798 Rebellion."
"As there are ongoing issues with litter from Take-Away / 'restaurants' food outlets in Clondalkin and with the possibility of a further 'restaurant' on the Main Street, can SDCC issue a report on how many retaurants / fast food outlets are allowed to be established or is there any limit? Can the number be capped to exclude further encroachment into the village? What criteria (apart from paying rates) is there for a fast food outlet to operate."
"That the Chief Executive, with respect to the Substitute Consent application currently being considered by An Bord Pleanala, provide a detailed report on activity at Windmill Hill, Rathcoole to include the result of recent site inspections carried out in response to my numerous motions and representations on this issue. In particular I would like clarification as to whether activity at this location is in compliance with the conditions of permission SDQU05A/4 in relation to the notification of blasting and dust control; the condition attached to permission SD12A/0059 and PL.06S.241259 in relation to the recycling of non-bitumionous waster; condition 7 of the same permission which protects the Liffey Aqueduct Arterial Culvert ; and that the report address the perceived encroachment of the activity into lands outside of the permission grant. I would also like the report to clarify whether the activity is contrary to the current Development Plan Table 4.3.1 which protects the view of the Hill from Browns Barn and the listing of the windmill house as a preserved structure."
