MOTION NO. 17

MOTION: Councillor F. Timmons

''That this area committee calls on access on Balgaddy Road (Opposite church) be re opened to allow access to local shops and services for the local residents.''

REPORT:

As indicated in reply to Q5 of the April meeting the Council have no immediate plans to reopen this access at this time. It should be noted that if an extinguishment of right of way has already taken place here it is not possible to re open the access to all traffic. However in order to improve permeability it may be possible to reopen a pedestrian/ cyleway access by way of a part 8 public consultation . The matter will be examined and a report will be provided to the next area committee meeting.
