MOTION: Councillor E. Higgins

"That the Chief Executive present a report on plans to mark Sustainable Energy and Bike Weeks in the Clondalkin LEA."

REPORT:

The South Dublin County Sports Partnership which is part of the Community Services Department of the Council in association with the Roads and Traffic and Parks Departments is currently planning events for Bike Week 2015. One focus of the week will involve schools training in the Clondalkin area. There is also a provisional plan to organise an event in Corkagh Park based around the cycle track, in partnership with local cycling clubs from Clondalkin and Lucan however details on this have yet to be finalised.

The County Architect has reported that there are no current plans for any energy events.
