QUESTION: Councillor E. Ó Broin

"To ask the Chief Executive to provide a report on festivals funding in the Clondalkin LEA in 2014 detailing projects supported and an outline of projected funding available and spending commitments for 2015?"

REPLY:

Community Services does not hold the information requested in an area based format and it is necessary to extract the specific data from the records held. The information will be forwarded to the Councillor as soon as possible.

Members should note that programmes of events are run on a county wide basis and are related to specific themes rather than a specific location. Clondalkin had events for all the major themes in 2014 such as St. Patrick's Day; European Week against Racism; Bealtaine; Health and Wellbeing; Active Retired and Age Friendly; Social Inclusion Week and Halloween. The 2015 programmes will continue in a similar vein with Clondalkin well represented under each theme.
