MOTION NO. 13
MOTION: Councillor E. Ó Broin
Cathaoirleach's Business
"This Committee agrees that the Council should explore the possibility of the placing of a blue plaque on the structure of the Old House, Rathcoole and a heritage information sign on the street detailing the history of the House, its original owners and their links to the 1798 Rebellion."
REPORT:
The Glebe House, Main Street, Rathcoole RPS Ref. 313 is a Protected Structure under private ownership. Although this type of plaque would be welcomed the erection of such a plaque would have to be agreed by the owner/s and would have to be assessed by the Councils Architectural Conservation Officer once details have been provided with regard to whether such a plaque is considered to be exempt from planning permisison.
