That this Committee requests the Chief Executive to support the Lucan Festival Committee in the establishment of a Christmas Tree and Lighting Sub-Committee and to advise how best to apply for funding that would allow for an extension of the existing Christmas set-up so that Lucan Main Street can be appropriately lit up for the festive season. Further, that the Chief Executive confirm whether SDCC has engaged with members of the Lucan Festival Committee regarding the provision of electricity connections to facilitate Christmas and other community events.

That this Area Committee agrees to ask the manager to address the Nangor Rd, at the double roundabout which has had lines repainted when the potholes haven't been filled in. It was thought that Gas Networks Ireland (GNI) were resurfacing the road after digging it up. When will the road be resurfaced? The whole length of the Nangor road is in an awful state.

"This Area Committee recognises that the residents association in Springfield have done trojan work since they came together last year, however they are massively limited in what they can do to provide services for the community due to the area having no access to a community centre in the estate. I would request SDCC explore the possibility of providing a suitable space for the community of Springfield to allow them continue to build on their work?"
