That this Council affirms its determination to achieve fair treatment by the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government in the allocation of finance from the Local Government Fund, requests the Manger to prepare a submission to the Minister presenting the case for South Dublin County Council to be treated in the same way as similar local authorities, including those in the greater Dublin Region, and to seek a meeting between the Manager and the Mayor, and the Minister, before preparatory work on the 2010 Council budget.

2. the Basketball Court which is unused and neglected and poorly delineated .
3. the Changing Rooms pavillion which has been constantly vandalised with graffiti.
Would the Manager consider the installment of palisade fencing to secure all of these facilities (similar to the Walkinstown Resident Association site at Bunting Road nearby) with the provision of some form of Landscaping around it.
4. Would the Manager consider the provision of an additional park bench.
5. Would the Manager instruct Council staff to inform all teams that use the facilities of the park to voluntarily remove all plastic/drink containers and cans and other litter from the park after their use of same."

To ask the Manager to reconsider the Garden Waste levy given the huge increase of dumping of garden waste at the parks and laneways of South Dublin County Council since Dublin City Council decided to introduce the levy at the Windmill Road Crumlin site?
To ask the Manager what progress if any has been made with regard to combatting the scourge of graffiti in the Tallaght Central area and whether a code of voluntary practice would be considered by all concerned banning the sale of materials to under 18 year olds that facilitate this destructive behaviour and that shopowners of such materials be invited to make submissions in this regard in this Local Authority area into how best this nuisance might be averted?

To ask the Manager to arrange the cutting of all the grass in the cemeteries in South Dublin particularly Saggart and Esker?
That the Manager, in relation to Foxdene Estate Clondalkin, look at or inspect that the building material that lies adjacent to the Lucan Outer Ring Road been removed from the estate. The building material has now been a focus for illegal dumping and has been a health hazard for local residents.
To ask the Manager in view of the obvious growth at grass verges, near busy junctions and roundabouts throughout the County, which is clearly creating a road safety diffficulty and interfering with sightlines, will he give an updated report on why this neglect has been allowed to develop and what measures, if any, he proposes to take to rectify this potentially dangerous situation?
