Confirmation and re-affirmation of Minutes of Meeting of 2nd May 2006

"To ask the Manager to resurface the laneway between Hillside Park and Ballyboden Road, Rathfarnham, which is in a state of disrepair?"

"To ask the Manager to state what further developments are to be carried out on Walkinstown Roundabout and if a similar improvement scheme to that carried out at the Cherrytree is to be continued on the remainder of the Roundabout?"

"To ask the Manager to revisit item no. 3384 (Area Committee 1, 24th October 2005) regarding a mains drain adjacent to 488 Orwell Park Way, since although a crew addressed same in January by opening the drain, cleaning it, chipping away some surrounding tarmac and placing an orange cone on top of same, it visually now looks worse than before, and the drain is subsiding in the tarmac, and it  would appear not to have been repaired in view of the fact that the road still floods when there is heavy rainfall."

"That the Council urgently make provision and begin examination with a view to ultimate design of a comprehensive traffic calming and pedestrian scheme for Stocking Lane."

"That the Manager re-instate the double yellow lines at the top of Moyville Lawn on both sides of the road and to extend the double yellow lines at the start of the shops of the open space to the entrance of the open space and that bollards be placed on the footpath on the Taylors Lane side of the open space. That the Manager contact  Mr. John O'Shea to finalise this project."

"That this committee recommends that the roads department gives an initial outline of new proposals for car parking in Pearse Brothers and Palmer Park as a result of the submissions and proposals put forward as part of the Ballyboden Village Plan consultation process. The three schemes proposed by the Roads Department two years ago were not acceptable to residents. There are now alternative layout/proposals submitted in the various submissions from Palmer and Pearse Brothers Park which should be facilitated."  

"That the Manager examine the access roadway to Nos. 2,4,6,8 Hillsbrook Avenue which is in a dreadful condition and has not been renewed since the 50s and needs to be resurfaced in the interests of the safety of local residents."

"That the Council moves immediately to provide appropriate road signage for all the sections of Scholarstown Road and Knocklyon Road as there is considerable confusion because of road developments in recent years and for the Manager to make available a detailed local roads map of the area for the meeting to facilitate a proper discussion."
