QUESTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"To ask the Manager what the position is with regard to the resurfacing of the pavement outside Barton Drive shops and whether the Manager has succeeded in meeting traders as yet?"

REPLY:

An inspection has been carried out at this location. A section of footpath requires remedial work as a reinstatement of a service utility has failed. This footpath is not in charge. The traders were not met at this inspection but it is proposed to meet them shortly. It will be necessary to have this remedial work completed before the Council will proceed with a taking-in-charge procedure.
