ST. ANNES ESTATE - HGV'S

QUESTION: Councillor S. Laing

"To ask the Manager to provide the necessary signage to prohibit H.G.V.s from parking in St. Annes estate as this area is on the edge of the County?"

REPLY:

It is the Council's policy to provide signage ONLY at all roads entering the County and not at individual estates in accordance with the relevant bye-law implementing the countywide ban on HGV parking (except in designated areas). This policy was originally agreed with the Garda Commissioner and reconfirmed with the Gardai at the recent Traffic Management Meeting.
