Motions
That this Committee calls on the Chief Executive to provide for the replacement of the batteries and pads of the AED - Automatic External Defibillator in Killinarden Community Centre. The pads expired in 2012 and the batteries are now also expired. Killinarden Community Centre is one of the busiest Community Centres in SDCC and the the AED is a vital piece of kit that offers centre users a sense of protection regardless of age.
That this Area Committee calls on the Chief Executive to financially support Killinarden Community Centre to update their AED (automated external defibillator) system. They require a new battery, new pads and training for the staff. The AED is extremely important for the local community, especially children and senior citizens, who are frequent visitors to the Centre.

Questions
"To ask the Chief Executive to explain why residents of Killinardan Estate cannot get insurance due to being regarded as flood risk. There are 300 areas in this country which CFRAM regard as a flood risk and Killinardan is not one of them. Mitigation works were carried out in 2012 by the OPW at a cost of €333K who then notified Insurance Ireland. The question here is when the Killinardan infill housing is complete how will they be insured due to local flood risk?"
