MOTION NO. 9

MOTION: Councillor C. King

That this Committee calls on the Chief Executive to provide a detailed report on what works will be carried out on the remaining houses in the Cushlawn Refurbishment programme as part of the new energy programme. That this report further details the number of houses that will be covered and the timeframes for commencement and completion of these works. 

REPORT: 

The previous proposed refurbishment of Cushlawn phase 4 is not likely to be carried out due to lack of funding from the DECLG. The Council is however proposing to carry out Energy Efficiency retrofit works on these dwellings which consist of 43 eligible units.

These works will include wall and attic insulation and ventilation works where necessary. The tender for this project has been received and works are due to be carried out in July, August and September 2016.
