H-1 Confirmation of Minutes of meeting held on 13th November, 2019
"Can the Council outline any proposed plans to upgrade the boundary wall and fence from the top of Cherrywood Crescent including estimated costs and timescale for this project?"
"Can the Council outline the process including timescale for works undertaken in Saggart Village aimed at improving the streetscape and road surface. Questions have arisen about the site management of this project and the level of disruption caused to local business. Have Council considered the need to offer a derogation of rates by way of acknowledging the difficulties that these necessary works have caused.
Can the Council agree to meet with the representatives of the business owners that have been impacted by the disruption with a view to offering realistic assistance?"
"That this Committee calls upon the Council to formulate a traffic management plan to facilitate the safety of children negotiating the entrance to Sacred Heart primary school in the Sruleen area. This Committee further calls for the Council to engage a Warden to direct traffic during school hours at the entrance to the adjacent Greenpark shops. We note that this location was due to be inspected for Clondalkin Traffic Management meeting in 2018 and request that this report be made available for discussion at this meeting."
That the Chief Executive write to the Department of Education highlighting the lack of resources and funding in the Firhouse Educate Together National School. The school needs more resources, to include Special Education Teachers, Special Needs Assistants and Inclusion Support Assistants, as there are between 2 and 8 children with complex additional needs in every mainstream class, and the overall standard of literacy and maths is dropping for all children in the school. The Board of Management put a block on enrolling pupils into the school during the 2019-2020 school year pending additional resources
"That The Chief Executive issue a report into the vacant houses on Station Road and what will and can the Council do to obtain these long term vacant potential homes?"

To ask the Chief Executive Officer to write to the NTA to ask them to outline the reasons for the refusal to fund the extension of the Grand Canal Greenway between the 12th Lock and Hazel Hatch.

To ask the Chief Executive to invite the various sports clubs in the electoral area using pitches in the area to discuss the impact of the Council's recently unveiled Sports Pitches Strategy to inform these clubs and prepare them for future usage of pitches.
"That this Area Committee request that South Dublin County Council write to the Data Protection Commissioner requesting clarification on whether 'naming and shaming' businesses contravenes GDPR criteria. Also that South Dublin County Council, against this background explain how does naming 'tax defaulters' not contravene GDPR."
"To ask the Chief Executive if he could make it a condition of the planning permission for fast food outlets that "take away" outlets provide bins externally to the premises for disposal of food wrapping or make specific contribution to the provision and maintenance of bins in the local area, and that all food wrapping for such takeaway food be made from bio-degradable materials, and to outline what the current conditions are and how it could be amended?"
To ask the Chief Executive for an update as to whether an Environmental Officer has been appointed and, if not, when we may expect one to be appointed?
That this council requests the Chief Executive to examine the feasibility of SDCC opening a motocross track at a suitable location and to liaise with any motocross clubs established within the South Dublin area in achieving this goal.
That the Manager ensures that the planning conditions contained in permission SD15A/0150 are adhered to. Dozens of local residents have had tyres burst as a result of debris from the site.
That this Council, in an effort to reduce waste, bans one use plastics in a phased manner to use up what plastic is left and also looks at going Paperless for meetings and daily work where possible and send brochures etc by email where possible and encourages all Councillors only to print when absolutely essential and that this is brought to the Environment SPC for policy on same.
To ask that the Chief Executive issue a report into how many schools are planned for SDCC and what plans are under way to provide an additional schools to meet these needs within our county, both Primary and Secondary? What sites are agreed or identified and what stage of funding are they at with Department Of Education ?
To ask that the Chief Executive issue a report into how many people are registered as In Our Libraries in SDCC and how many use the services and what plans are under way to provide an additional Libraries or Hubs during the lifetime of this Council?
To ask that the Chief Executive issues a report into existing approved Part 8s and to include date they where approved and where funding is at? To also ask when they will start and when they will be delivered ?
