That the Manager undertakes to immediately provide Traffic lights at the Liffey Valley Roundabout (St. Loman’s Rd./Fonthill Rd.junction) in the interests of freeing up traffic jams in the general area. Given that such a proposal formed part of the planning application for the lands at St. Loman’s and that regrettably the plan was approved by An Bord Pleanála, it would make sense to put the measures in place in advance of the commencement of the development.

To ask the Manager to write to Magnet Entertainment to request details, including time-scales, as to when its services, including Broadband, will be available to the householders and businesses in the more established regions of Lucan. Currently such works are taking place on Griffeen Avenue to provide welcome services to many householders in housing estates in the local vicinity.

To ask the Manager to agree to write to NTL to request when householders, who live in more established estates in the Lucan area, can avail of the NTL Broadband Service. Would the Manager also request NTL to provide details of which estates can avail of NTL's Broadband Service in the Lucan area and what is the estimated time-scale for the provision of this service in all other estates. It is now a considerable time since I was informed by NTL that their Broadband Service would be available in specific estates and I am still awaiting an up-date on this matter.

To ask the Manager to report in detail on the number of Planning Enforcement complaints received within the jurisdiction of the Lucan/Clondalkin Area Committee, the number of these complaints deemed to be valid and of those the number not pursued, details of those pending and those successfully pursued through the Courts by way of enforcement proceedings from the beginning of 2005 to date. Would the Manager also report on the staffing levels in the Enforcement Section to deal with these complaints and the average waiting time appropriate to the cases in this period before the matters were dealt with and resolved.

To ask the Manager to report on the re-instatement works, including materials to be used and quality of finish planned, on the cycle paths in areas, for example Griffeen Avenue, where Magnet Entertainments is currently engaged in works to provide services, including Broadband, to many householders in housing estates in South Lucan. Would the Manager also please report on the other cycle paths in this area, for example on the opposite side of Griffeen Avenue, as the quality of these cycle paths is not of a standard to encourage cyclists to use this cycling facility.  Would the Manager agree to carry out an examination of these cycle paths and report back to the next Lucan/Clondalkin Area Committee Meeting of the Road's Department?
