"To ask the Manager if he has any plans to re-surface the Rathfarnham Road in the near future and if he has any plans to introduce measures to control both traffic volume and speed along this road?"

Motions
CATHAOIRLEACH'S BUSINESS
"That this committee calls upon the Manager to re-open the right hand turn from Templeogue Road onto Springfield Road at off-peak hours."
"That this committee discusses the parking proposals for Pearse Brother/ Palmer Park – ongoing prior to 1999. (b) to outline in the report the residents groups going to be contacted and when? (c) to outline what department is going to co-ordinate this –as it is a wider issue than any new housing development, taking into consideration plans have been developed previously by the Roads department.. (c) to outline in the report what assessment has been carried out on the submission on parking made by the Pearse Br. Park/Palmer Park residents association as part of the Ballyboden Village Plan? And to comment on same as such information is necessary prior to future meeting with the residents association."
"That the Manager instate a footpath from Greenpark Estate to the new supermarket on the Greenhills Road."
"That this Meeting discuss with the aid of a comprehensive report from the Manager detailing the correspondence and contact with Dublin City Council my proposal to utilise a segment of the car park in front of the AIB at Crumlin Cross to facilitate a right hand filter from St Agnes' Road onto Cromwellsfort Road."
"That the Manager following discussion at the January Traffic Management Meeting, gives urgent priority to dealing with the daily risk to pedestrian safety posed by the Scholarstown/Knocklyon interchange, and that this Committee agrees that it is not acceptable for this matter to have to await the M50 upgrade for a resolution."
"That this meeting discuss, with the aid of a detailed report from the manager, the current plans for the new Knocklyon Road with particular reference to the proposed boundary treatments."
"That the Manager examine the rear lane way at St. Brendans Crescent Greenhills with a view to dealing with rat running and industrial and domestic fly tipping as this particular rear lane has houses backing onto it from one side and is bounded by the Greenhills Park on the other side and makes this more vulnerable to the issues outlined".
"That the Manager carry out whatever remedial work is necessary to rectify the historical problem with flooding at (details supplied)."
"That this Committee calls on the Manager to provide increased inspection on building works as many of the builders are leaving broken footpaths and badly damaged grass areas."
"That the Manager include Moyville Estate in the ramping programme. There are two key areas in the Estate, which would urgently require ramps. The first being the road along houses 1-27, which leads into a cul de sac. This road bears the brunt of the speeding traffic as it is in continuation of the entrance hill. The second area is the first turn right at the top of our entrance hill, along houses 251-221. The residents association would still like the whole Estate to be considered Traffic Calming."
"That the Manager examine the parking problems in Whitehall Close as residents are concerned about a recent occasion when an Ambulance could not reach the home of a very ill person because of cars blocking the road and to ask the Manager to look at (a) the feasibility of installing double yellow lines on one side of the road or (b) providing additional parking by removing the grass verges."

That this Council
In light of the serious escalation in noise levels as a consequence of increased traffic on the M50 since its full opening to Carrickmines and beyond;
and in recognising that this serious escalation in noise levels represents a severe impact on:
(a) The quality of life within and outside property
(b) The value of property itself
and that it also represents a significant increase in noise and carbon pollution in the local area;
supports a very concerned local community by making the strongest possible representations to the NRA with regard to the pending PPP for the remaining section of the M50 widening,
with a view to putting in place state-of-the art noise prevention measures to the highest relevant standard that recognise and remedy the situation before the local community has to seek legal recourse to the problem
