To ask the Manager to ascertain if there will be an increase in the number of local authority households getting maintenance on their windows this year?
To ask the Manager to give a report on the SCHENGEN AREA initiative across Europe and to include whether Ireland/ SDCC would benefit from membership?
To ask the Manager to outline the costs to refit the council chamber to hold up to 40 councillors? What will the extra costs be per annum in terms of resources to support 14 new councillors and over all costs due to additional 14 councillors?
To ask the Manager to outline exactly how much fluoride goes into the water in the South Dublin Council area? Does the Manager feel that there are any health risks associated with fluoride as part of our water system? Are there any other chemicals added to water in the South Dublin Council area?
To ask the Manager to outline what measures the Council is taking to tackle the growing incidence of graffiti in the county?
To ask the Manager to outline the status of the free bike scheme in the county?
To ask the Manager to outline what is the present position with regard to the feasibility study being undertaken on the River Dodder cycling/pedestrian route?
To ask the Manager to report on the potential of designating village groups (which are working with the Council) as recognised associations, as provided for under Section 128 of the Local Government Act 2001?

To ask the Manager for a breakdown of the amount of Grant(s) made available for 2013 in respect of the Traveller accommodation and with what conditions, how this compared to previous years (2009 - 2011) and to the pitch made by this Council and how much additional, if any, is/will be added from SDCC resources?
To ask the Manager for an update on the naming of major roundabouts in this County and to include suggestions on how the communities are to be involved in the process as per my previous motions on the matter?
To ask the Manager for a report on how the recent spate of bad weather affected this County, what action was undertaken to alleviate the situation and to name the areas, if any, where special incidents including flooding took place?
To ask the Manager to provide a report on the number of households in the County who hold mortgages from the Council, the number of these Council mortgage holders who are in arrears for more than 90 days, and the approach taken by the Council to work with mortgage holders who are experiencing serious difficulties in making their mortgage repayments?
To ask the Manager for an updated report on progress towards creating new Social Employment schemes under the scheme recently announced by Government for an additional 3000 SE places to be provided by Local Authorities?
To ask the Manager if she will write to the Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government seeking information on progress made in developing and implementing a scheme of financial supports for low income households in meeting the costs of their household waste collection, as promised in the Government document on Waste Management published in July 2012?

That this Council condemns the recent announcement by the DECLG to cut Housing grants to Local Authorities by 40% which will mean that this Council like others will not be capable of fulfilling its obligations on providing grants for adaptations to Older and Disabled Citizens in our County which will have a hugely negative impact on their quality of life. This Council further Calls on the Minister to reverse this unjust cut and enable us to continue our proud tradition in South Dublin of successfully fulfilling our obligations under the Housing grants system.
That this Council reviews the efforts of this council in relation to support for the self-employed/sole traders and small businesses in the county
That this Council, again recognising the enormous environmental, health, and tourism benefits of the approx 5,000 acres of publicly-run forest areas in the Dublin Mountains area, reiterates its opposition to the privatisation of Coillte and states its opposition to the sell-off of its timber harvesting rights to private companies.

That this Council supports a policy to recommence a junk collection scheme throughout the county.
That this Council, noting the responses to my previous similar requests at the November 2011, April 2012 and November 2012 meetings; again requests the Manager to provide a detailed report, for discussion, on Dublin Fire Brigade’s ongoing risk-based analysis of its area of operations; including a report on measures to address deficits in service provision in our County.
This Council believes that internships if operated properly can be of great benefit to young people and job seekers of all ages.
Council Notes that while they are advantages to the Jobs Bridge scheme, certain employers have abused the service to avail of free Labour.
This council calls for, measures to root out employers who abuse the jobs bridge scheme.
This council believes that Any internship offered on jobs bridge should meet the following criteria.
-That the internship not be used to displace or replace jobs that could otherwise be filled by paid staff.
-That any skills acquired by interns be given some formal recognition.
-That each position must provide some prospect of permanent employment with the firm upon completion of the internship.
This council will convey the above to the Minister for Social Protection.
That the Manager, noting the contents of Sections 2.5.9, 2.5.10, 2.5.11 and 2.5.12 of the Written Statement of the County Development Plan 2010-2016, would provide an outline report on progress made towards the achievement of Policy EC6: Renewable Energy (sub-section 2.5.10.i), Policy EC7: Small Scale Hydroelectricity Projects (sub-section 2.5.10.ii), Policy EC8: Geothermal Energy (sub-section 2.5.10.iii), and Policy EC9: Small Scale Wind Energy Developments (sub-section 2.5.12.i), and include reference to any government legislation enacted since the adoption of the Plan, which might facilitate or support the achievement of these Policy objectives.
That this Council calls for the new bridge across the Liffey in the City centre be named after Nurse Elizabeth O'Farrell and if so supported convey this to Dublin City Council.

That this Council shall devise a comprehensive plan to provide retirement villages throughout the County and that they have wardens in control of same.
That this Council holds a special meeting of the Council in relation to Employment Creation and Promotion - to serve at least two purposes: (i) to highlight what this Council is doing to promote the county as a place for doing business; and to more adequately promote how it supports business in the county and (ii) to allow members to explore ways in which the Council can play an even more vibrant and public role in assisting the creation and sustaining of employment within the county.
That this Council, noting the correspondence to the March meeting from the National Transport Authority regarding bus service reviews, calls on the NTA to provide an opportunity for the elected members of this Council to be consulted as part of the current ongoing review of bus services in our County.
That the Manager reports on known flooding spots within the County with particular reference to the Newtown and Raheen areas and agree a drainage strategy to tackle ongoing frequent flooding
