That the Lucan-Clondalkin Area Committee recommends that the Manager take a flexible approach to implementing the 5 Year Playground Construction Programme in the Lucan Electoral Area, that he takes into account that there is no playground in Palmerstown or in the part of Lucan east of the Outer Ring Road, and consider the option of providing neighbourhood playgrounds at Hermitage Park, Ballyowen Park and Waterstown Park, with a possibility reduction in size and construction costs of the proposed Griffeen Valley Park playground near the 12th Lock.

a)  Construct a footpath between Monastery Heights and the Esso Garage.

b)  Surface the ground approaching the Luas footbridge with cement or tarmacadam.

c)  Place a handrail on the same footbridge.

To ask the Manager whether any survey has ever been carried out in North Clondalkin and Palmerstown regarding the suitability and desirability of locating a joint library at Liffey Valley Centre, given the fact that elected representatives are adamant that both areas require their own library, at the heart of each Community; whether it would be wise to carry out such a survey in advance of any firming of plans; and if he will make a statement on the matter?
