QUESTION No. 12

QUESTION: Councillor K. Warren

“To ask the Manager if he would agree to highering the wall at the end of the cul de sac on Kilakee Avenue in Firhouse as a means of improving safety and security for local residents and preventing ongoing incursions from pedestrians and others from the Firhouse Road, and if he will make a statement on the matter?”

REPLY:

The wall that is currently in place at the end of Kilakee Avenue is 1.8m in height and constructed of concrete block. This is normally considered adequate as a boundary wall in a residential area.  There are no plans to modify the wall as part of the Firhouse Road Realignment scheme currently underway.
