Planning
Questions
To ask the Manager for an up to date report on the new apartment / health care development on Orchard Lane, Clondalkin especially the following:
1. The number and size of apartments.
2. Parking Space.
3. The Health Facility.
4. Shops and Offices?
To ask the Manager to provide an update on the reasons for the delay in the taking in charge of Hayden’s Park Estate as requested in January 2006?
To ask the Manager what measures are in place to safeguard the amenities enjoyed by existing residents for over thirty-seven years from developers proposing to break through an established cul-de-sac?
To ask the Manager to report on the level and locations of underdeveloped residential zoned land in Lucan, Palmerstown, Clondalkin and Newcastle Lyons at the present time?
To ask the Manager to report on the Planning Process regarding the provision of additional classroom facilities in a Local School, in this case Scoil Mhuire, WoodviewHeights/Airlie Heights, Lucan, where the Department of Education and Science have offered additional classroom facilities as permanent structures, which are in excess in number of the existing temporary classroom facilities. There is considerable concern that such additional classrooms will generate unmanageable traffic volumes in this cul-de-sac area of Woodview Heights and Airlie Heights given the already serious traffic congestion being experienced by parents and local residents, particularly at school times.
To ask the Manager for an up-to-date and detailed report on all planning and enforcement issues relating to Weston Aerodrome, including any Planning Decisions currently with and Bord Pleanála and the time-scale for these Planning Decisions.

Roads
Questions
To ask the Manager if monies could be made available to install path ways from the Outer Ring Road / Fonthill Road to housing estates such as OakWood Grove.
To ask the Manager to clean up the pathway from the Siac site (
To ask the Manager to carry out essential works on the roads, kerbs and footpath at Dodsboro Cottages, Lucan from number's 1 to 45 and from number's 47a to 80. The path and road here are in a deplorable condition and constitute a safety risk to pedestrians. Vehicles are mounting the footpath to pass one another which is made possible by the condition of the kerbs that have been eroded. No work has been carried out in this area for the last number of the years except for the tarmacadam patching of potholes on the roads and footpaths.
To ask the Manager to include in the 2007 footpath programme the following locations:
a) The cul de sac in Beech Park for repairs, specifically the footpaths outside nos 15, 16, 17 and the end of the cul de sac between numbers 18 and 19;
b) the fixing of the footpath area and road area surrounding the bus shelter near Molloy's Store at Ballydowd which is flooded easily;
c) and if he will dish the footpaths outside the main gate of Esker Cemetary and at Esker Lawns junction beside the cemetery so as to assist people with disabilities who have up to now to walk on the road ?
To ask the Manager to provide an up-to-date report on my earlier representations to have the tarmacadam areas and kerbing up-graded on Kennelsfort Road, Palmerstown. These outstanding works, many of which are overdue are of utmost importance to the local residential community on Kennelsfort Road.
To ask the Manager to report in detail on progress being made with the survey being carried on all footpaths in the Lucan, Palmerstown, Clondalkin and Newcastle areas and when is it anticipated that works will commence on the most urgent of footpath re-instatement works required.
To ask the Manager for Traffic Calming measures in Riversdale Estate?
To ask the Manager what was the result of the traffic count for vehicles travelling (from the estates) between Kennelsfort Road and the Oval that I requested on the 17/05/06?
To ask the Manger what progress has been made in making the Bus Stop on the inward carriageway at the OVAL Palmerstown safe (as per my motion of 22nd November)?

Motions
Cathaoirleach's Business
That this Committee recommends again that a footpath be built from the nearest part of Alpine Heights to Bawnogue Catholic Church and that it be lipped to cater for wheelchair users.
That this Committee call on the Manager to bring forward proposals for the upgrade of Kennelsfort Road Upper, from the Coldcut Road junction to the N4, and submit it as a matter of urgency for funding under the Urban Renewal Programme, or another relevant scheme. Can he consult with the local Community Council, residents of Kennelsfort Rd and with relevant local business interests along Kennelsfort Road to have the road at a standard that is reflective of the fact that it is the main artery of this settled community.
That the erection of lone standing signs for housing estates be removed and replaced with signs that either hang on walls or other means, e.g. rockery.
That the design and details of the replacement road/bridge which will come from Neilstown to the 9th Lock Rd be displayed to this Committee.
That South Dublin County Council carry out a survey of the back lane network in Palmerstown with a view to securing them in such a manner that they will no longer be available for illegal dumping and/or for unsocial activities. The present situation is a source of ongoing and severe trauma for adjacent residents as well as a drain on scarce Council and Garda resources and frustrating for the whole Community.
That the Boot Road rock, positioned on Boot Road/Naas Road be turned around to face traffic coming from the country.
