To ask the Manager to have the street lights on the N4 between the City Boundary and the M50 intersection fixed?  At present there are some 7 lights out of order in this stretch of dangerous road and one of them (the second after the Oval junction on the outbound margin) has been out of order now for almost 18 months and efforts by local residents to have it fixed have been unsuccessful despite the fact that it is beside a shrubbery and back lane that are the focal point for anti-social behaviour?

That this Committee calls on the Manager responsible to bring before this Committee, either today or to the April Meeting, proposals for dealing with traffic congestion on Kennelsfort Road and in particular (a) why the junction at the Coldcut has not been re-signed to reduce the bottleneck as per my earlier motions and when will this situation be addressed. (b) Alleviate the situation motorists find themselves in when trying to exit from the Cemetery/Shopping Centre especially most Saturdays and on the occasion of extra heavy funeral traffic.  Previous examinations of this location as requested by me have not resulted in positive action. (c)  Address the increasing bottleneck which traffic exiting at the N4 experience, this could be alleviated by banning U turns for traffic coming from the West on the N4 thus freeing up signal time for traffic on Kennelsfort Road. (d) Can the Manager give reasonable explanations - perhaps as a result of the ongoing monitoring of traffic across the County - as to why Kennelsfort Road has become so congested and such a traffic hassle for the local residents.
