APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL  ASSISTANCE UNDER THE CAPITAL LOAN AND SUBSIDY SCHEME FROM OAKLEE HOUSING TRUST LIMITED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 6 OF THE HOUSING (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT 1992 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF 51 NO. DWELLINGS AT FORTUNESTOWN B, TALLAGHT

REPORT

 An application has been received from Oaklee Housing Trust Limited for a loan in the sum of €9,312,590 for the construction of 51 no. dwellings at  Fortunestown B, Tallaght.  The Association is an approved Voluntary Body under Section 5 of the Housing Act, 1988.

The granting of this loan in the sum of €9,312,590 was sanctioned by the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government on 1st June 2007. 

 Under Section 6 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1992 the granting of assistance under the Capital Loan and Subsidy Scheme is a reserved function of the Council.

 Accordingly, the following motion is required:

 “That this Council recommends that the application for a loan in the sum of €9,312,590 under the Capital Loan and Subsidy Scheme to Oaklee Housing Trust Limited for the construction of 51 no. dwellings at  Fortunestown B, Tallaght in accordance with the requirements of Section 6 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1992 be approved.”
