That this Area Committee recommends that the Draft Parking Bye-Laws 2009 be amended as follows:
- The proposed ‘Tariff A’ parking fee be reduced to a rate of 10 cent per 6 minutes;
- The proposed hours of operation for all parking tariffs should exclude Saturday;
- Lucan Demesne car-park should, for the time-being, be redesignated as 'Tariff C'.
That this Committee requests the Manager to write to Dublin Bus and seek detailed information on the regular vandalism of bus shelters within the Lucan/Clondalkin area, including costs associated with the replacement of vandalised bus shelters. What measures can be introduced to help prevent this vandalism, including consideration to the introduction of vandal proof bus shelters as is the case in other jurisdictions.
That this Area Committee requests the Manager to write to the Minister for Education and Science and request that the Minister would agree that at the beginning of this new decade, it is time to end the thirty year wait and finally acknowledge the need for Educate Together Second-Level Schools, particularly in Lucan, which has the biggest concentration of Educate Together National Schools in Ireland with five local national schools, and would the Minister finally grant patronage status for second-level school applications to Educate Together.
To ask the Manager to have plans in place to provide alternative heating for tenants when parts for a broken system are not available?

That this Committee agrees that the Manager writes to the Railway Procurement Agency to get a report on whether or not there will be a Park & Ride facility at the Saggart Luas Terminus and if so, when it is likely to be opened.

That the Manager presents a report on the vacant building site at the junction of the Main Street in Saggart and the Boherboy Road and addresses the following concerns:
(a) The current standing of the site and whether it is likely or not to be developed in the near future.
(b) Could the hoarding surrounding the site be moved back so that it no longer encroaches upon a very significant area of footpath and 2 parking spaces and could that footpath be reinstated for public use.
(c) Could the hoarding itself be beautified if people are going to be looking at it for a long time.

That this Committee recommends that South Dublin County Council has discussions with those involved with geo-thermal energy work in our county to see if its possible to get a geo-thermal energy scheme centered in the most built up areas of our county up and running in the near future and that the council reports back to Councillors on the results of the discussions.

That the Manager presents a report on the following Roads issues in Saggart Village:
(a) That he confirms that there are no plans to introduce paid parking in Saggart as it would be strongly resisted locally.
(b) That he does a traffic count at the crossroads in Saggart Village and, if warranted, installs traffic lights at that location.
(c) That he examines Mill Lane and the area outside 1 & 2 Mill Road Saggart to see if it's possible to install car parking in those areas and reports back to the council members within 2 months.
To ask the Manager if Forest Hills, Rathcoole is on the list for traffic calming and, if so, when is the calming likely to be installed?
That the Manager presents an up to date report on the examinations of infrastructure done by South Dublin County Council in the Glebe Estate, Newcastle, County Dublin and outlines the procedure whereby this estate can be taken in charge by our County Council.

To ask the Manager to inspect and report on considerable traffic difficulties being experienced by commercial vehicles trying to access and exit Clondalkin Builders Providers from the main Ninth Lock Road. There is regular traffic parked on both sides of access road alongside original hotel building?
