That the Manager convene a site visit to the walkway between no’s 4 and 6 Rossfield Green and discuss with residents how best to protect their property from major Anti-Social activity that’s is commonplace there.
That this Committee calls on the Manager to urgently investigate ways to secure gas boiler units in vacant/boarded up Council housing in the Tallaght area as there is a growing enterprise whereby criminals are dismantling and removing them from an ever increasing number of properties which is obviously providing them with a significant income and providing the Council and therefore the tax payer with a considerable financial loss by way of the need to repair the damage to the houses and replacement of the boilers.
That the Manager provide an update on the future of the Rent Supplement Scheme with reference to the Government’s Housing Policy and, if a pilot scheme is established, that the Springfield area be prioritized for inclusion in this.
That the Manager, following recent statements from Minister Hogan in relation to some vacant NAMA properties being possibly utilised for Social Housing, states whether any discussions have taken place between SDCC and the Department to establish whether or not some of the vacant NAMA properties in Tallaght would be suitable for such a scheme.

That this Committee calls on the Manager not to proceed with any works relating to new footpaths on the green space at Ambervale and Birchwood, funded by the RPA, until such time that a comprehensive survey has been carried out in both estates, as to the safety and suitability issues of such footpaths and that the views of the residents are taken into account.
