Questions
"To ask the Manager to provide a disabled parking space at the shops at the junction of Whitehall Road West and Rockfield Avenue?"
"To ask the Manager to extend the double yellow lines on both sides of Marian Drive along all the houses of Marian Drive. This is to stop overflow parking from Rathfarnham shopping centre at Christmas shopping times?"
"To ask the Manager as requested by the Resident Elkwood Rathfarnham (has made representation to Roads dept 13.1.08) this suggests widening of the footpath which runs from pedestrian lights on Ballyroan Road at the south end of Marian Road to Ann Devlin Road by about 0.5m – this pathway also has rurgged and uneven surfaces and it needs to be repaired. Also the surface which was laid near the traffic lights for visually impaired has sagged resulting in ponding of rainwater – if this could be addressed?"
"To ask the Manager for a follow up to the issues discussed at the Traffic Management Meeting re parking issues at Fairways Rathfarnham . This is causing major disruption for residents who cannot enter/exit their driveways safely and also concerned on access for emergency vehicles?"
"To ask the Manager to clean out the shores in Rathfarnham Village environs to ensure there is no repeat pooling in the area?"
"To ask the Manager that roads engineers examine the exit from the Tuning Fork public house car park onto Ballyboden Road with a view to providing a yellow box on the west side of the road to enable cars exiting from Willbrook Street to take advantage of a break in the traffic at peak times?"

"That the Manager installs new public lighting at Church Lane. There is no lighting at the start of Church Lane from Rathfarnham Village down along the first stretch of the Lane."
"That the Manager prioritise the resurfacing and reinstatement of the busy footpath between the pedestrian lights on Ballyroan Road (outside no. 177) and Anne Devlin Park, as the footpath is in a very poor and dangerous condition, particularly for elderly pedestrians."
"That this Committee discusses the request for a Pedestrian Crossing on Ballyboden road (see my motion 10th June 2008) and to make a decision on the three issues put forward in discussion document with various stakeholders – with the aid of a current report from Schools/parents – this report to be made available at this meeting (please seek same if not to hand prior to meeting)."
"That this Committee discuss the measures available to it to alleviate parking problems in the residential areas adjacent to Rathfarnham Shopping Centre, particularly Fairways, which has been seriously affected by the decision of the Shopping Centre management to ban staff from parking in the public carpark - including conditions in the planning permission for the Shopping Centre regarding parking spaces for staff."
"That the Manager provide an update on the proposed traffic calming scheme which will include Mountdown Road and Muckross Avenue with particular regard to the completion dates for this scheme."
"That the Manager provide a review of the public lighting in Boden Park . There have been a number of break-ins in the estate in recent times and residents feel particularly vulnerable."
"That this Council discusses the outstanding road issues pertaining to Moyville Lawn – paths repair; traffic issues; upgrade entrance to estate i.e. those issues that were promised to the Moyville Lawn Residents Association some time ago and are still outstanding. My last representation on this (20/10/08) fell on deaf ears , this area was promised that work would be carried out at the time of the part 8 Taylors Lane road development and work must proceed without any further delay."

"That the Manager meet with Woodfield and Airpark residents with a view to resolving the right-of-way issue that has arisen locally."
"That the Manager outline how the Council arrived at a decision to move bollards on Springfield and its junction with Springfield Road as part of the granting of a planning permission. In relation to this can the Manager outline the Councils position in relation to road safety and planning applications which will increase the danger to both pedestrians and other road users."
