MOTION NO. 11

MOTION: Councillor C. Keane

"That this Council discusses the outstanding road issues pertaining to Moyville Lawn – paths repair; traffic issues; upgrade entrance to estate i.e. those issues that were promised to the Moyville Lawn Residents Association some time ago and are still outstanding. My last representation on this (20/10/08) fell on deaf ears , this area was promised that work would be carried out at the time of the part 8 Taylors Lane road development and work must proceed without any further delay."

REPORT:

As previously advised in 2008, all works associated with the Green Route Road Scheme as they relate to the entrance to Moyville Lawn are complete. These works include;

• anti-skid surfacing,
• pedestrian crossing with drop-kerbs and pedestrian guardrail
• Bollards
• Double yellow lines
• Yellow box junction
• Tree planting in open space

Parking of cars by shoppers on double yellow lines or within the estate is a matter for Garda enforcement.
