To ask the Manager to write to Dublin Bus seeking clarification on why it appears, that the 76B is no longer travelling to Balrothery on a regular basis and would Dublin Bus consider the construction of a bus stop in the immediate Tallaght Village area, in view of the amount of residential development, that will soon be completed there?

Questions
To ask the Manager to outline what the planning department's assessment is of the viability of the proposed neighbourhood centre at the junction of Beechdale Road and Oldcourt Road and as to whether the re-location of the neighbourhood centre to an alternative site south of the Oldcourt Road has been examined and if so is it intended to include the Creche and Community facility the people of Beechdale were led to believe would be built at the junction of the Oldcourt Road and Beechdale and will he make a statement on the matter?
To ask the Manager to indicate what efforts he has made in ensuring or assessing the need for the provision of additional places of worship in the Tallaght/Saggart/Rathcoole areas?
To ask the Manager to update the Committee on progress made in relation to the proposed West Oldcourt Area Action Plan and to inform all individuals and groups that made submissions on the pre-draft stage of the current delays in progressing the plan.
To ask the Manager to indicate a definite date for completion of work on the Zip Project in Tallaght.
To ask the Manager is he aware of any pre-plan consultations or has the Council any plans of its own in relation to the section of the Old Greenhills Road beside the Priory and St Basils.
To ask the Manager to confirm what proposals this Local Authority has for the area adjacent to the Luas Cookstown Station, that was formerly a family residence?
To ask the Manager to set out exactly what steps need to be followed before Beechdale, Ballycullen is taken in charge by South Dublin County Council, if the Council has any powers to ask the developer concerned to place additional traffic calming measures in the area as a means of reducing traffic speed, and if he will make a statement on the matter.
To ask the Manager if he will recognise the deep frustration of residents who live in Vershocyle, Saggart Abbey, in connection with the failure on the part of the developer who has built Citywest Shopping Centre to meet in full landscaping and other issues which were clearly outlined in the original Planning Application, and if he could specify exactly when the open area of land between Verschoyle Drive and the Shopping Centre would be landscaped to the satisfaction of South Dublin County Council, as intended in the original Planning Application, and if he will make a statement on the matter.

That this Committee supports the application by Kilnamanagh AFC, reg, ref.,SD07A/0463, and urges an immediate resolution of any outstanding difficulties.
That this Committee calls on the Manager to compel the Department of Education to reinstate to its original condition the boundary of lands owned by them in the vicinity of Coolamber Drive and Stoney Lane in Rathcoole, that this Committee acknowledges the negative impact of this fencing on the residential amenity in this area and the acute danger that the current insuffient boundary represents to residents in the area in particular children, who now have easy access to this land through they ugly and inadequate fencing that is currently at Coolamber Drive and non-existing boundary treatment at Stoney Lane.
That this committee expresses its opposition to the Planning Application SD08A/0093 at the Rise and Heath in Belgard Heights and urges the Planning Department to refuse permission for this proposed development.

To ask the Manager as to when the Disabled Parking Space, as agreed at the January meeting, will be in operation in Tallaght Village.
To ask the Manager to have arranged the resurfacing of the road at *details supplied. The entire estate's roads were resurfaced last year but it appears that this particular location was omitted?
To ask the Manager to have arranged for the repair of the footpath at *details supplied which is in a deplorable condition?
To ask the Manager to confirm that Walnut Avenue in Kingswood Heights and Birchwood Estate in Springfield, both Tallaght Central, have been included in the discretionary maintenance grant for 2008, and to set out in each case, the total sum of money involved under the DMG for this year, and to set out the precise nature of the works proposed by the Roads Department for both of the above mentioned areas and if he will make a statement on the matter.
To ask the Manager to confirm that Kilakee Estate, Carriglea Estate and Carrigwood Estate in Firhouse have all been included in the Restoration Maintenance Grant for 2008 under the Road Works Programme, and if he could set out in each of the above mentioned areas, the proposed expenditure by the Roads Department and the nature of the work in each case, and if he will make a statement on the matter.

To ask the Manager if the Roads Department has given consideration to allow taxis use the existing “bus plug” which is adjacent to The Square i.e. Belgard Square South, if he would not agree that this would makes sense, and if he would not agree to open up access to this route for taxis as a means of improving traffic flows in the area, and if he will make a statement on the matter.

That this Committee discuss the on-going saga of the issue of street lighting at Belgard Road Fire Station.
That this Committee calls on the Manager to arrange for the necessary works to be carried out at *details supplied to provide an additional parking bay taking into consideration that this was agreed over eighteen months ago.
That this Committee calls on the Manager to have arranged the re-activation of the public lights opposite the Plaza in Tallaght Village (beside the Credit Union).
That this Committee calls on the Manager to to update the Committee on its findings from the investigation in to the provision of a pedestrian crossing along Kiltipper Way in the general vicinity of Marlfield Mall as childrens safety is at risk daily on this very busy main Road.
