"To ask the Manager to assess the halting site off Stocking Avenue. I have a  report that the occupiers of the last unit in that development has built on a type of lean-to at the side of his unit. This is not permitted and yet he has still not taken it down or been made to do so.  Can you please investigate and report back and if there is found to be unlawful development that the appropriate enforcement action be taken?"

"That the Manager update this meeting as to the progress to date with regard to the playspace initiative for the Ward. One suggestion as to a suitable location might be in the new areas of the Rathfarnham Ward, just off Stocking Avenue.  Given the varying stages of planning permissions is there a suitable location for such a playspace?  In this area you have a high percentage of young couples with very young children and one would expect the level of enthusiasm would be stronger in such areas."

"That the Manager report on the two sums of €5000 that were allocated last year under the Tidy Villages initiative, and one of these sums was specifically allocated towards work on the graveyard at Rathfarnham - that the manager outline what these monies were spent on and what measures taken to ensure that all relevant stakeholders were aware as to how they could be spent and to make a comprehensive report on this - and to outline/itemise what happened the other €5000 which was earmarked and to explain that if these sums were not drawn down ; what is left unspent and can this be carried over into 2014."

"That the Manager provide an overall assessment of the growing issue of littering in the Stocking Avenue area of the Ward.  That the Manager include in the Report to the Committee how the additional €138,000 released from the Department of the Environment under the Anti-Litter and anti-Graffiti Awareness Grant Scheme is going to be spent by the Council and that some of this funding be earmarked towards tackling the on-going and escalating general littering along Stocking Avenue, with reports of full bin bags of rubbish along with discarded items of household furniture such as dirty mattresses being dumped in the area.  This follows an accusation from Residents that the Council take too long to take action and the argument is made that if the Council were to act more efficiently then the area would not be a little black spot.  Is it possible to include Stocking Avenue in the weekly regular litter picking/handcart routes?"

"That the Manager outline what strategy is being adopted to deal with the 'Cars for Cash' litter in this ward?"

"That the Manager report back as to the progress made in relation to allegations of noise pollution since I last tabled a motion with regard to the matter.  I have since then sent on to the Council another resident living in Fairways who too complains of unacceptable noise early in the mornings due to out of hours deliveries to Tesco."

"That the Manager to consider my motion to this Council last month in which I was looking for the walls stretching out from Rathfarnham Village up Willbrook Road, left and right at the fork junction and leading up to St. Enda's park.  At the same time there is a walking route up Ballyboden Road and left into Fonthill cutting through to Willbrook Estate, across Whitechurch Road and into St. Enda's park, with various apps for hikers highlighting the areas of historical importance in the area.  I am looking to the Manager to report back as to likely sources of  funding either from central government or to be ear-marked from within the Council's capital programme, under the Village Initiative Programme or elsewhere."

"To ask the Manager that the railings along Stocking Avenue be repainted, it may well be the position that the railings are the responsibility of the Developer here but the railings on the right hand side as you come from Hunters Wood up Stocking Avenue towards Stocking Wood, are these railings within the curtilage of this Council?

Residents also looking to have the extra barriers and green meshing removed? The overall appears of the area is both shoddy and messy as a result. If it is the case that this Council is not so responsible is there any means available to this Council to force the Developer (his servant or agent)?"
