MOTION NO. 12
MOTION: Councillor A.M. Dermody
"That the Manager to consider my motion to this Council last month in which I was looking for the walls stretching out from Rathfarnham Village up Willbrook Road, left and right at the fork junction and leading up to St. Enda's park. At the same time there is a walking route up Ballyboden Road and left into Fonthill cutting through to Willbrook Estate, across Whitechurch Road and into St. Enda's park, with various apps for hikers highlighting the areas of historical importance in the area. I am looking to the Manager to report back as to likely sources of funding either from central government or to be ear-marked from within the Council's capital programme, under the Village Initiative Programme or elsewhere."
REPORT:
Roads Department will arrange for the crack in the wall at the pedestrian entrance to be examined and repaired. Road Maintenance have no funding to replace stone walls in the area. The only funding available to the Roads Department has to be used for the repair and renewal of footpaths and roads. The Villages Initiative team have been made aware of your request for funding.
