"That the Manager immediately acquire the Title to the small open spaces at the end of Willbrook Lawn, Whitechurch Road which have been boarded up for sometime and that having acquired the title to contact the Residents Association as to its future use."

"That this committee agrees that the unsightly timber hoarding erected by the Council on the open space at the end of Willbrook Lawn (beside both end houses) be removed and the area be reinstated to its previous condition as it was some years ago when Dublin Co. Council maintained this space. This was agreed by decision of  the residents association of Willbrook Lawn at an open meeting on 8th Nov. 2005."

"To ask the Manager what discussions have been initiated with Dun Laoghaire / Rathdown County Council to avoid a repeat, in summer 2006, of the disturbing behaviour that residential communities in South Dublin adjacent to Marlay Park had to endure during the programme of Rock Concerts there last summer and would he make a statement on the matter?"

"That this committee discuss the request from an intercultural group to provide information on voting - leaflets/ points of contact/   – who is entitled to vote, at what elections, voting procedure etc... etc... and to ascertain the various languages required.  That this be done in conjunction with the various groups in the TRAC area."

"To ask the Manager to provide a safe pedestrian access and upgraded footpath with lighting be constructed along Stocking Lane, this is the access Prospect Manor residents - especially school children have to use daily.  It is totally unsuitable and indeed dangerous with overgrown shrubbery and trees blocking visibility also?"

"To ask the Manager to have the light poles in the Willington area painted – I was informed last year ‘the depot staff will inspect and carry out the necessary works?’’

"To ask the Manager to provide a pedestrian crossing at somewhere between the junction of Dodder Park Road and the county boundary adjacent to to Ely Gate....I raised this at a recent traffic study group that perhaps a "refuge" would suffice, however, since then I have been contacted by numerous residents who have complained about the danger in crossing the road and the absence of a pedestrian facility for almost a mile?"

"To ask the manager to engage with the management of Scoil an Spiorad Naomh, Ballyroan in relation to providing a safe pull in /lay-by for cars dropping children off in the morning school rush hour?"

"To ask the Manager to provide a Cul-de-Sac sign at the entrance to St. Marys Avenue, Rathfarnham as a large number of vehicles are entering the Avenue and also would it be possible to provide a sign Residents Parking Only?"

"To ask the Manager to immediately improve the condition of the footpath on Stocking Lane which services Prospect Manor as its present condition is most unsatisfactory for young and old and to please take note I have requested this on a number of occasions?"

"To ask the Manager to arrange for the clearance of the drain outside 488 Orwell Park Way as same is blocked, as a result of which there is frequent flooding occurring at this location whenever there is heavy rain and this is a serious problem, in relation to which the residents concerned have previously been in touch with the Council, but the problem has persisted and requires to be addressed once and for all?"

"That the Manager introduce a traffic calming regime on the Whitechurch Road and especially at the lower Willbrook section, as a matter of urgency."

 

• Motion 6

"That the Manager move immediately to take all measures to alleviate traffic parking problems being experienced in Rathfarnham Village and for the Manager to engage directly with Duchas to immediately have the Rathfarnham Castle car park opened for public car parking."

• Motion 7

"That this Committee discuss (a) the upgrade of the Whitechurch Road with a view to ascertaining what type of upgrade is proposed (b) a timescale for delivery.

(c) to agree to draw up a programme of traffic calming  immediately- ramps/pedestrian crossing/signing and lining.

(d) to report on the work necessary to make the existing footpaths safe and areas of the road requiring new footpath.

This road is very dangerous for pedestrians who cannot access local services without crossing , and certainly does not allow children to walk to schools in safety."

"That the Manager immediately examine the Whitechurch Road outside and adjoining the Whitechurch National School as the action taken in 1999 has not been satisfactory as the increase in traffic is causing serious concern."

"That the Manager examine the poor condition of the surface of the cycle track on Templeville Road and Templeville Roundabout which is disintegrating and also to examine the sections where repair work has been carried out which are making the track unsafe and to ask if the Council intends changing the material used on the surface of cycle tracks to a material which will not break up and crumble over time."

"That this Council devise a traffic/pedestrian plan for the Whitechurch Road area (from its junction with Taylor's Lane to the Tuning Fork Public House) that will address the serious footpath deficiencies along the road thereby leading to safety issues for pedestrians; the issue of speeding and the necessity for some traffic calming measures and the question of exiting from Sarah Curran Avenue and that the Council address these issues in one comprehensive plan for the area."

"That the Manager undertake a thorough examination of the Whitechurch Road between Willbrook Lawn and the Tuning Fork  and to address the following issues at the request of the Residents Association,   1. Speed. 2. Footpaths. 3. Pedestrian Crossing. 4.Parking at entrance to Estate."

"That this Committee recommends that the laneway at Fairbrook Lawn / Glenbrook Park be properly resurfaced; a patch up job unsatisfactory job was carried out –this request has been ongoing for some time see TRAC meeting 5^th Oct. 2004."

"To ask the Manager to give an (a)  updated report on Planning application by Promster for the Demolition of the existing 3 storey school building and the construction of 30 no. dwellings which are broken down into 5 blocks A, B, C, D and E all above basement as follows: Block A consists of a 3 storey block containing a total of 5 no. apartments as follows- 4 no. 3 bed & 1 no. 2 bed apartments with dormer windows facing north-east & south-west; Block B consists of a 4 storey block containing, 7 no. apartments consisting of 6 no. 2 bed apartments and 1 no. 3 bed apartment which is incorporated within the roof with dormer windows facing north-east & south-west; Block C consists of a 4 storey block containing 7 no. apartments consisting of 6 no. 2 bed apartments and 1 no. 3 bed apartment which is incorporated within the roof with dormer windows facing north-west and south-east; Block D consists of 9 no. 3 storey terrace houses consisting of 9 no. 3 bed with balconies; Block E consists of a 4 storey block containing 2 no. 4 bed houses with the fourth floor incorporated within the roof and dormer windows facing north-east & south-west; basement level consists of 44 no. car parking spaces, plant room, attenuation tank, and lift & stairs for access to the courtyard and access to Block E; ground level consists of 7 no. car spaces, refuse storage and bicycle storage located to the south-east of the site and covered lift and staircase for access to the basement located in the courtyard, together with an E.S.B. substation facing south-west with pedestrian and vehicular access off Limekiln Farm Road with security gates all with proposed landscaped courtyard, boundary treatment and site development works?"

  (b) Please pay particular attention to vehicular access mentioned as off Limekiln Farm Road – Limekiln Farm is the townland in which Temple Manor Estate is located and to state if this address given for access is correct and valid as application. Many residents are concerned with proximity, height, and overlooking."

"That the Council takes all steps necessary to ensure that existing long-term residents of the Lawn, Boden Park, are in no way inconvenienced by planning application SD05A/0905 and that the Manager reassure members that all of the site in question is in the ownership of the applicant and has never been in the ownership of the Council, and for the Manager to note my strenuous objection to the application."

"That this committee recommends that we proceed with phase one of the Ballyboden Village plan in order to ensure the coordinated development of the new road at Taylors lane with the proposed village plan, particularly mindful of the fact that if this road is delayed the €3m funding could be lost to this Council, and to agree a phase two plan to include the wider Ballyboden area as recommended after the adoption of SLO 93.
