QUESTION No. 5
STOCKING LANE - FOOTPATH
QUESTION: Councillor C. Keane
"To ask the Manager to provide safe pedestrian access and upgraded footpath with lighting be constructed along Stocking Lane, this is the access Prospect Manor residents - especially school children have to use daily. It is totally unsuitable and indeed dangerous with overgrown shrubbery and trees blocking visibility also?"
REPLY:
This rustic footpath, including public lighting and crossing, at the entrance to Prospect Manor, was installed at the entrance to Prospect Manor a number of years ago pending the development of the adjacent land. At present no planning application has been received to develope these lands. Meanwhile we will request Parks Department to trim back any shrubbary obstructing light along this pathway.
