"That the Manager contact the owner of the land bordering 216/217 Woodfield Estate to request proper/permanent fencing which would resolve the problem of illegal tipping in the field causing danger to livestock present, attracting rodents and general unsightliness to neighbouring residents and could the Manager:
- At the Woodfield estate side place a litter probation sign near the field.
- Ask the litter warden to police the area to stop littering in the field."
"That this Committee agrees the following actions in respect of continuous illegal dumping adjacent to Woodfield (addresses included):
To contact the adjoining landowner to seek their assistance in securing the land where there is livestock and horses present;
erect a 'No Dumping' sign;
ensure the Cleansing Unit includes the hedgerow area in its schedule of cleansing in Woodfield;
engage the Environmental health Officer to check the area for reported vermin;
engage the Litter Warden to actively monitor the area for illegal organic and waste dumping;
consider a leaflet drop of local houses regarding illegal dumping in the hedgerow area including the fines appropriate for such an offence."
Parks
Questions
"To ask the Manager to install park seats in the park at the Scouts den at Marian Road?"
"To ask the Manager to agree the attached “wish list” as prepared by Butterfield District Residents’ Association, as to suitability of locations for the positioning of benches within the Rathfarnham area?"
"To ask the Manager to walk Dodder Valley Park (Kilvere entrance), after entering the park, taking a left turn and note the muddy pathway. Follow the path around and there is a second similar patch further along and provide a solution to the source of water and an estimate as to when the necessary works could be completed?"

"That the members call on the Manager to provide a detailed medium to long-term plan for the upkeep and maintenance of Cherryfield Park and the Dodder Linear Park in general which is in a serious state of neglect; is litter strewn; overgrown; unused car parks; vandalism; graffiti - the list is endless - and that such a plan would take advantage of the cycleway proposed for the entire length of the Dodder."
"That the Manager consider the request by Rathfarnham Boy Scouts to extinguish an area of land (approx. 18 metres) to the left of their Clubhouse on Marian Road. The land in question is in the open space linking Marian Road and Marian Grove/Butterfield Close. The Scouts require the strip of land to allow them to pitch tents at various times during the year and to increase the amount of outdoor activities that the organiser can engage the children in. The Rathfarnham Boy Scouts is the busiest in Ireland and currently have a waiting list of 80 children anxious to join. By extending the area it would allow the club to offer more activities to the children and accordingly to take in all children eager to join and eliminate the waiting list. The Scouts agree to absorb the cost of replacing the wall after it has incorporated the lands into theirs."
Roads
Questions
"To ask the Manager to look at replacing the pedestrian barrier on the Ballyboden Road (nearest the junction with Ballyroan Road). This barrier was damaged in a car crash over 18 months ago and has never been replaced or made good?"
"To ask the Manager to repaint the yellow lines at Butterfield Avenue from the junction with Old Bridge Road to where they end around (address included)?"
"To ask the Manager on behalf of residents to repaint the lines at the junctions in Woodfield Estate and to repaint the road number/name signs within the estate also?"

"That the Manager expedite the process of completing the transfer of land from Dublin City Council to SDCC (lands to the rere of 77-87 Lower Dodder Road) and to make a statement on the matter."
"That this Committee discuss with the aid of a report the timeline for the transfer of lands to the rear of houses 77 – 87 Lower Dodder Road, which is reported to be in the ownership of SDCC, to the residents of houses 77 - 87 Lower Dodder Road, as this land is reported to have been transferred by DCC to SDCC in February 2013."
"That the Manager provide a detailed overview of the matter to date concerning an application by residents living in houses 77 - 87 Lower Dodder Road to acquire and incorporate these lands (map attached) into the individual plots of land adjacent to rear of each property, thereby extending the rear gardens of those residents. It would appear that an application for First Registration was never made by Dublin City Council, however upon request to Dublin City Council following this application this was completed.
Can the Manager establish if the land is now registered and in whose name is the land registered (DCC or SDCC). Secondly is this Council prepared to extinguish the area in favour of the residents? If the land is registered and assuming this Council have no objection to the application by residents can the necessary notification process be commenced?
If the land is not registered can this matter be taken up by the Law Agent so that he in turn can liaise with his opposite number in Dublin City Council.
I understand it is 7 years since residents first sought the application to extinguish. Can I ask that the Manager report back to this Council each month going forward so as to track progress?"
"That this Committee discuss with the aid of a report the status of the laneway bordering houses 2-12 Willbrook Park and 27 & 29 Ballyboden Road."
