That this Committee, recognising the magnificent ongoing work in promoting local history in Tallaght from the Local Studies section of the Council, the Tallaght Historical Society, and other groups and individuals, and in line with the objective in the Council's Heritage Plan 2010-2015 to "provide information to raise awareness, appreciation and enjoyment of the County's heritage," asks the Library Service to liaise with the County Heritage Officer, local historical groups, schools and other interested organisations with a view to offering talks on local history in the area of this Committee east of the M50, i.e. Greenhills, Templeogue, Perrystown, etc.

"To ask the Manager if the Council would consider as a suitable location for a zebra crossing at the main entrance to Hainault House. The provision of a zebra crossing would facilitate the increased numbers of pedestrians using Hainault House following the relocation of the main Citizens Information Centre in Tallaght?"

That this Committee supports the installation of improved lighting including additional streetlights and the change to brighter lighting on Beechfield Close, Dublin 12.
That this Council will arrange repairs to the pedestrian route from Allenton Road to the Old Mill Cross Roads, in particular the section of footpath on the Corner of Allenton Road and Allenton Crescent.

That this Committee is of the view that, in the event of development levies in respect of residential properties in the area within its remit being outstanding, no action should be taken to seek to recoup such monies from the relevant householders.
In light of the approval by An Bord Pleanála of the Proposed Lidl store in Ballycullen, this Council will arrange to have traffic management measures in place to attenuate the anticipated impact on traffic through Beechdale Estate. As agreed in motions of previous meetings of this Committee, this Council is committed to fully consulting the residents of Beechdale on the nature of such measures.
